Chaos Hands | Audio/Visual Performance

CHAOS HANDS audio/visual improv trio, Xuan - Visuals, Nicole - Drums, Allison - Sound Design, presented a preview of new work developed during their residence at the Cowwarr Art Space.

CHAOS HANDS: formed in Ojai, California when the Xuan, Nicole and Allison were fellows at Eighth Blackbird's Creative Laboratory in 2018. The trio was sorted into an ensemble and given total creative freedom, which resulted in the foundation of an incredibly wholesome creative bond and some very wonderfully strange performance art. After the summer, the group swore to find a way to meet again to continue creative work as an ensemble.

John Abery | Do you Remember? | An exhibition of childhood memory | 4 Aug - 25 Sept 2017

We had a great opening celebrate on Sunday 6 August from 2-5pm.

Open to the public from 4 August and continuing until 25 September 2017.  Gallery Hrs: Sat, Sun, 11-5pm

In this sculpture exhibition, John explores the nostalgia of childhood memories. He deliberately created the works to be oversized, creating a feeling of wonder and excitement, recreating the emotion a child would feel in the presence of a new toy. He hopes these works will evoke a playful memory for everyone who sees them.

Place in the Crowd is open to the public from 5 May and continues to 26 June 2017

You are invited to join the artists at the opening event, Sunday 7 May at  2-5pm.

Nadine is an artist whose paintings invite us to question what it is to live in a world of rapid change and navigate through the confusion and intrigue of life. Her art deals with conformity, disconnections, alienation and the general sense of ignorance that society flaunts when panic stricken or stupidity reigns.

New Paintings - William Young - 30th September - 28th November 2016

New Paintings - William Young - 30th September - 28th November 2016

Welcome to William Young's Landscapes. An imagined soulful world that can have its playful moments.

Open to the public from September 30 with the opening celebration on the Sunday October 16 @ 2-5pm.
Exhibition continues 'till November 28.

Young’s landscape paintings should not to be read literally. Although the rolling hills with the dominating cypress pines have a familiarity and you feel comfortably that you are in Gippsland these paintings are not meant to be a specific geographical place.  The artist has drawn on his surrounds to explore an internal landscape; a state of mind and a commentary on our environment.

DOPA-KINESIA: Pezaloom, 5th August - 27th September 2016

DOPA-KINESIA: Pezaloom, 5th August - 27th September 2016

You are invited to join the artist and celebrate the opening of the exhibition Sunday 7th August @ 2pm - 5pm
The Artists Bar will be operating.

The contrariety of beauty and ugliness, tenderness and fear, desire and anxiety runs through all of Pezaloom’s work, challenging ideas of the body in art, cognitive functionality, notions of the erotic, and systems of control. Since being diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s Disease, his work in visual and sound art has mostly been driven by an exploration of the physical and mental symptoms of his illness, even using these symptoms as tools to create his own distinctive style of artistic expression.
