We have installed 3 versions of documentation of Clive's Smoke Bomb Sculpture from 1971. Video, screen print and a large vinyl banner 2.5mm x 3.25m. First performed in Brisbane, May 1971, sponsored by the Contemporary Art Society of Queensland (pictured here). It was performed 3 times and has been re-enacted and various items from this series of works are in the collections of the Australia National Gallery, NGV, QAG-Goma and Queensland University.Read More

Since 2012 The Substation and the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) have worked together to present Future Now, an annual award exhibition of VCA Honours graduates. Showcasing a range of artistic practice by seven of the newest talents in Melbourne’s contemporary art scene, Future Now tours regional Victoria, connecting artists and communities across the State. The Cowwarr Art Space is delighted to be part of this program for the 3rd Year.

These works by Amanda Goodge reference the experience of close landscape encounters with forests. There is an implication in each painting that the scene/forest/bush continues infinitely beyond the picture’s edge, and, just as it is in reality, comprehension of this landscape comes from the myriad of present details rather than the form of the land itself.Read More
