Cowwarr Arts Network Inc. - CAN Inc.
is a not for profit Incorporated Association formed in 1994 and managed by an independent board. Registration No: A40030615H

The word "Network" in Cowwarr Arts Network is very real indeed as it is based on genuine relationships that have developed naturally over an extended period of time.

CAN Inc. has an ongoing artist-in-residence program, exhibition program and is looking to expand its performance projects. It also coordinates, manages and auspices arts and community projects.


CAN Inc. is based 
and has a strong partnership with Cowwarr Art Space it does not limit its activities to the venue, it facilitates intra-regional, region to capital city, interstate and even international links and events.

2008-9 Hear, There and Everywhere: Anticipating the Art for the Future TransCultural Exchange asked artist to collaborate with people from different culture and disciplines. Claire Watson, curator, Australia, Maria-Luisa Marino Australia, Behrouz Rae, Iran, Ilse Van Den Berk, the Nethrlands. Work created during residencies in Saksala ArtRadius rural Finland and CAN Inc. Cowwarr Art Space rural Australia was exhibited in Finland and Australia  and included in the TransCultural  Exchange Program Catalogue and website for the International Conference  in Boston 2009



2007-8 Interspacing:- Next Wave Festival: Emerging Curator Program: Curator Claire Watson. CAN Inc. Auspice.
Hockey Plot - touring exhibition, Westspace Melbourne, Gippsland Art Gallery Sale and Cowwarr Art Space. Negotiations between young contemporary artists from Gippsland and Melbourne Artists: Brodie Ellis, Maria-Luisa Marino, Simon Percicich, Rehgan De Mather, Kylie Ligertwood and Karen Heath.

2002-4 Creative Gippsland : - project management to implement the Gippsland Cultural Tourism Strategy for the six Gippsland municipalities of, Wellington, Bass Coast, Baw Baw, East Gippsland, South Gippsland and Latrobe City with funding from local Government, Arts Victoria and Federal Funding through DOTARS.
